The AF DuPage Book Club meetings are conducted in French and are held on Zoom on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings start at 6:30 pm unless otherwise indicated and last 1½ - 2 hours.

Dear Alliance Française Book Club participants,
Please find attached our list of books including one book of short stories for the 2026-2027 “année scolaire”. As many of
us know, it is important to order books early to ensure that they arrive well in advance before the discussion dates, and then because it
happens that a book can become scarce or unavailable. The last book for this coming year will be chosen late winter by the Alliance
Francaise One Book Federation. Once known, there will be a follow up email. The short story book is “Parallel Text, Short
Stories in French” Amazon usually has all our books. One of a few others is FNAC.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with our process, participants volunteer to prepare a list of discussion questions which are sent you one week prior to our meeting. Below is our schedule. (2nd Wednesday of the month and July/August is a summer break. ) An appreciative thank you to the volunteers who have agreed to present a book or a short story!
Presenters should remember to limit the number of questions to between 15 and maximum 20.

One Book One Federation
Federation of Alliance Françaises USA
Each year the One Book One Federation selects a well-written book and assists in developing of a reading guide to assist Alliance Françaises chapters to engage members in a stimulating discussion.
