From sumptuous 19th century bank to high-end 21st century hotel/restaurant/ gym/co-work space/”rooftop vegetalise”…. A magnificent example of bank architecture of the epoque, with symbolic statuary, artistic stone carving, and Byzantine-inspired stained-glass and mosaics. We will trace the story of this designated national monument in Paris’ 9th arrondissement through archival black and white photographs, old engravings, and more modern color images.

Prepared with finely ground pike and held together with a binding agent called a panade or panada, the result is a light and airy dumpling. This classic dish is then topped with a delicious crayfish sauce.
Join Chef Chris Thielman and Karen Thielman for this unique online cooking demonstration and learn how to prepare this French favorite.
